Dr Bita Sahaf has been active in conducting preclinical research, studying the HIV induced redox imbalance in infected individuals and their immune cells. She got her PhD in Sweden. As a postdoctoral fellow, in the Herzenberg Laboratory, she has been setting up models for HIV infection and has been immune monitoring of the fine lymphocyte subsets from HIV infected individulas.
The combined expertise in redox-biology and lymphocyte immunology has opened new exciting research areas in which Dr. Sahaf is actively pursuing her work.
